Extreme is Off and Racing with KICK Sauber F1™ Team
It is hard to tell what’s happening faster – the action during a Formula One™ race or the growth in the sport’s popularity over the past few seasons. And with the racing on the track more competitive than ever before, every team is looking for that added edge – which now includes high-performance wireless connectivity.
Extreme is proud to be announced as the latest sponsor of the KICK Sauber F1™ Team. This partnership will bring Extreme’s best-in-class Wi-Fi 6E technology and ExtremeAnalytics on the track with KICK Sauber F1 Team and into their manufacturing facility.
KICK Sauber F1 Team’s operations will be able to rely on flexible, secure wireless connectivity for communication on the racetrack and support for all network-connected technology in the cars on race day during the 2024 Formula One World Championship. Back at the team’s headquarters in Hinwil, Switzerland, Extreme’s solutions will provide faster network performance to increase staff and manufacturing productivity, as well as additional bandwidth to allow KICK Sauber F1 Team to embrace emerging, bandwidth-heavy technology such as automated machinery and AI software without impacting current operations.
The team will leverage ExtremeAnalytics to ensure its teams have granular insight into network performance at high-traffic areas in its manufacturing facility, as well as the ability to optimize for efficiency. The ability to make data-driven decisions around production and staffing, along with a deeper understanding of network health and support for emerging use cases, will give their IT team confidence that they can maximize productivity and deploy new services without impacting performance.
“We are pleased to welcome Extreme Networks, the newest partner joining the ever-growing Stake F1 Team KICK Sauber family. Having reliable and secure connectivity is essential for our team, both at the heart of our operations in Hinwil, and as we travel the world,” said Alessandro Alunni Bravi, Team Representative, KICK Sauber F1 Team. “With Extreme Networks’ Wi-Fi 6E we will have faster network performance, which is essential to increase both staff and manufacturing line productivity and to enhance our operations. In Extreme Networks we find a remarkable new partner, which will be by our side as we embark on the challenges of the 2024 Formula One World Championship.”
